Remarkable find
We were enchanted with the Abbey on Main from the minute we arrived to find the warm hues of the beautiful huon pine floors and generous spaces with soaring ceilings. Gavin was a generous and engaging host, full of local knowledge and entirely respectful of our privacy. Wonderful food, wine and cider within easy distance of the Abbey as is the river which runs just across the road. Incredible value for money and really could not recommend it too highly.

The most amazing place we have ever stayed at in Tasmania.
Everything was perfect. Beautiful furnishings, awesome gourmet kitchen, free wifi, Netflix, books, DVDs, Magazines, comfortable bed, fluffy towels that smelt amazing. Gavin our host was one of the friendliest hosts we have ever met, very knowledgeable and so helpful and goes the extra mile. I would highly recommend a visit

Gavin clearly has an eye for design, detail and things of beauty.
Firstly, Gavin was an exceptional host, incredibly accommodating and friendly, greeting us on arrival and showing us through the property. When walking into the Abbey.....just WOW!!! It is exquisite, Gavin clearly has a keen eye for design, detail and things of beauty. A warm fire, jazz playing on the radio, delightful Art Deco design, the gorgeous high ceilings and beautiful wooden floorboards are just the beginning of the lovely features of wonderous little Abbey, it is hard to know which room to spend your time in!
